See why we shouldn't predict anything when it comes to golf? What looked like a sure thing just got turned on its head in an instant! What an exciting finish to the 93rd PGA Championship at the Atlanta Athletic Club this weekend. Keegan Bradley, a 1st year PGA Tour player wins only his second ever golf tournament on tour, and it turns out to be a major. It's like showing up at Wimbledon for the very first time and winning. And boy, did he do it in style.

My 2 cents on Tiger Woods
Well it looks like there's been some massive movement up and down the leaderboard after day 2 and 3 of the 93rd PGA Championship. Instead of writing about what happened, I'll let someone else explain by providing this link to BleacherReport.com for what happened on day 2 and day 3. The most noticeable thing is that there are some virtually unknown names at the top of the leaderboard going into the final round today. I mean who the hell is Brendan Steele?? Jason Dufner?? Both are leading the tournament at -7. One good thing is that we're finally seeing a good American presence at the top, which has been lacking of late. I like it when it's fair like that.

93rd PGA Championship, 2011
Time again to talk about another major golf tournament.
The first round of the 93rd PGA Championship has kicked off and for some reason I was really hoping to see Tiger Woods play well. I suppose after last week, where Adam Scott won so decisively at the Bridgestone Invitational with Tiger's old caddie Steve Williams, I wanted to see a reaction from Tiger. I noticed a couple of tweets from golf announcer Kelly Tilghman about how his round was going so far yesterday, and it was going quite well. Starting his round on the 10th hole, he was 3 under par after 5 holes which was good. But it didn't end that way.

The People's Champion! Darren Clarke wins the 2011 Open Championship
After catching bits and pieces of the 3rd round action on Saturday night, I fell asleep with no clue as to who could win the most coveted trophy in golf. Going into the final round yesterday it seemed like the weather would again play a major part in separating the good, the bad, and the ugly. But without a doubt, there were moments where the players made some magic shots in spite of the challenging conditions at Royal St George's.

The 2011 Open Championship - Weekend Update
After two days of the Open Championship at Royal St George's we've seen everything that links golf is supposed to bring. Shots that land nicely have ended up way off target, the wind has thrown many shots away, and true to the spectacle of the occasion, the leaderboard has been turned on its head from the day before.

The 2011 Open Championship
What's up! Sorry for the long absence but there's been so much going on that I'll admit that I've neglected to write anything for quite a while. But it couldn't be a more perfect time to start writing again with the first round of the 2011 Open Championship (a.k.a. the British Open) starting in a few moments.

Medan Golf Trip 2011: Day 2 at the Graha Metropolitan Golf Club
Day 2 in Medan
As if we didn't have enough fun running around hitting things all day on our first day in Medan, we had another tee time at the Graha Metropolitan Golf Club for some more golfing nonsense and exercise. Originally we had booked a late morning start, around 9am. But for reasons beyond our control (hmmm), all of us woke up for breakfast around 845am and we figured that we'd show up and play in the afternoon.
